Inter house debate competition grade 5

CBSE Primary Section of SGIS had organized an Inter House Debate Competition on Saturday, 11th July, 2020 for the students of Grade 5 in order to promote their oratory skills and develop self-confidence, prompt opinions, and convincing abilities thus, overcoming stage freight. Topics were as follows: Semi Final Round – Topic: Confidence is the only key to success. Final Round- Topic: Imagination is more important than Knowledge. Students were judged on the parameters like Presentation Style, Organization of Argument, Use of Information and Strength of Argument by the Arbitrators – Ms. Lorrine D’Mello (Head Mistress of SGIS Kindergarten Section) Final round was conducted between Prithvi House & Agni House Prithvi House won the final debate against the Agni House with the score of 134 points. Parents too expressed their views about this overwhelming competition by sharing their experience and congratulating the efforts taken by SGIS team to engage children along with enhancing their communication skills and providing such a wonderful platform. It was an enriching experience for all the participants!
