SGIS TEACHER ATTENDS TAISI ART & DESIGN TRAINING

The IGCSE Art and Design workshop was held on 22nd and 23rd of Sept '15, at Taj Land's End, Mumbai. Mr. Vinodkumar was one of the representatives of Sanjay Ghodawat International among five top schools from around India.

The Association of International Schools of India, TAISI, organized the Workshop. It was ably conducted by Art & Design Specialist Ms. Nicola Williams from UK. The Seminar was conducted for Two days.

The whole range of syllabus of Art and Design was covered comprehensively and almost to perfection. There were four components that were touched upon i.e. the whole gamut of World Art. They showed practical works of Students and we assessed them according to particular objectives given beforehand. The representatives learnt how to assess works of art given the various forms of art work done by the children themselves

The reference to different artists, their work and contributions to the world of art; the new trends that emerged and continue emerging now and then, were some its features. All of these were an eye-opener to us all. The Chinese, Hong-kong, and Indian art were its special highlights.
